The computerized system of the Administrator General’s Office for matters relating to Durable/Enduring Powers of Attorney enables the issuance of a document titled “Confirmation of Entry into Force of a Durable/Enduring Power of Attorney,” bearing an Apostille stamp.
This service is of significant importance, as it facilitates the recognition and validity of a Durable/Enduring Power of Attorney outside the borders of Israel, in countries that are members of the Hague Convention.
What is an Apostille?
An Apostille is an official certificate issued by the authority of a state, affixed to public documents - such as marriage certificates, birth certificates, or other official documents - confirming that the document is authentic, original, and duly issued.
An Apostille may also be affixed to notarized documents, certifying that the notary who signed the document is duly authorized in accordance with the laws of the issuing state.
Application of the Service
In the personal online area of the Trustee appointed under a Durable/Enduring Power of Attorney, it is possible to generate a document with an Apostille certificate.
